New Releases of the Month

There are a bunch of books coming out in March, so it'll be hard to choose just a few to read.  These are the new releases that I'm most excited for:

The Italian Teacher
by Tom Rachman
Fiction
Release date:  2/20/2018

Anything about Italian or French (two languages I speak) catches my attention, but upon closer inspection, this book looks like it will be an in-depth examination of art, emotion, and life.  Also, how gorgeous is the cover?

The Last Watchman of Old Cairo
by Michael David Lukas
Historical Fiction
Release date:  3/13/2018

The summary posted on GoodReads for this book is, for me, reminiscent of Dan Brown's Angels and Demons books.  It looks like it will turn out to be a journey through history in an exotic place, and I won't be able to put it down.

The Curse of the Boyfriend Sweater: Essays on Crafting
by Alanna Okun
Nonfiction, Essay Collection
Release date:  3/20/2018

I've been crocheting for about 15 years now, so I find anything about crafting interesting.  Frankly, I think more people should be writing about crafting - then my two hobbies could be combined and I'd save so much time.  Regardless, this looks like it should be both emotional and funny.  You can't beat that combination!

I Was Anastasia

by Ariel Lawhon
Historical Fiction
Release date:  3/27/2018

I've always been fascinated by the story of Anastasia since I was  a little girl, so this looks like it's right up my alley.  I'm always a little leery of historical fiction, when there's much more fiction than history.  I hope this one doesn't disappoint.

White Rose, Black Forest
by Eoin Dempsey
Historical Fiction
Release date:  3/1/2018

GoodReads has this listed as Historical Fiction, but from their summary, it looks like it could easily be classified as a Thriller or maybe even a Romance.  This looks dark, but enthralling.
